Paul Smith Design Project
The inspiration for this concept came from the book ‘Ballooning’
(Wirth et al, 1984). The concept explores fun and s-triking photo
graphs that evoke a sense of ethereality. Visual researc-h gathered in
spiration from the shapes, colours and patterns of hot
air balloons. Paul Smith is a well-harmonised brand as the concept
matches the brands artistic and fun aesthetic - explorin-g exciting col
our combinations and print inspiration to implement into tradition
al tailoring to create the brands “classic tailoring with a twist” (Paul
Smith, 2020) aesthetic. This AW collection is both playful and classic.
